MFW ECC Week 5 - Mexico & Deserts

My little explorers received their passports and plane tickets today.   Our first stop - Mexico.   We exchanged money, danced, sang songs, and made tissue flowers.

Every time I answer the phone and say "hello," in the background I hear,
"Bon Jour, Buenos Dias! g'day, Guten-Tag, Konichiwa."  Fun times!!!!

    • Geography
      • Passports and Airline Tickets for our Journey To Mexico

      • The name & location of Central American Countries (geography game)
      • Puerto Rico (is a commonwealth of the United States) - not an independent country.

      • Characteristic of a desert ecosytem - receives less than 10 inches or rain per year
      • Desert plants store lots of water.  Some have needles so no water is lost by transpiration.
      • Most desert animals are nocturnal and some estivate (sleep during the summer)
      • Book of Animals - otter, wild turkey

    • Bible

      • Memory Verse - Matthew 1:23
      • The Kingdom of Heaven is near. Our citizenship is in heaven.
      • Harriet Tubman - Hero Tales
      • "Compassion is bearing someone els's burden as if it were your own."
      • "Perserveramce is continuing to do what is right even when you get tired or run into problems.
