MFW ECC Week 6- Mexico & Deserts


I scanned their Mexican yarn art projects and shrank them to fit on our scrapbook page!


Mexico Lapbook
My girls loved making their Mexico lapbooks.  Both girls kept thanking me and telling me how awesome this was. The highlight was my oldest telling her friend how cool homeschooling is.

      • Reviewed name & location of Central American Countries (geography game).
      • How to use an atlas to find information to complete North America pages
      • Mexico has 32 states; The capital is Mexico City
      • Chihuahua is the largest state in Mexico
      • We played Los Tres Toquecitos - Mexican game similar to hide-and-seek.
      • Geography Vocab: canyon & gulch 
          
      • Exploring World Geography -  Cities of North American (112) & Bodies of Water in North America (103)
    • Science
      • An Oasis is a desert ecosystem that contains water.
      • An oasis creates a habitat where certain animals and plants live that aren't typically found in a desert. 
      • Leaves release water through the process of transpiration.
