The girls enjoyed our Discover the Dinosaurs
Experience. While exploring the dinosaur
exhibit, we tracked the dinosaurs to discover the answer to each of the “scavenger
hunt” questions. They also hopped in the
saddle on the back of one of the animatronic T-rex. They got to experience
being a Jr. Paleontologist, as they brushed away sand to reveal dinosaur
fossils beneath. Next we purchased bags
of mining rough and stepped up to the sluice to shake it out, panning in the
running water to reveal the gems and fossils. They also explored the mine with
a headlamp-equipped hardhat to find hidden rocks, gems, and fossils located in
the dark mineshaft. Then they got to
play on the mini golf course and jump, slide, play, and have a blast dinosaur
themed inflatables. Though this event wasn’t quite what I expected for the price,
it was the fun, interactive day that we needed.
