The California gold rush began in 1849. One day James Marshall was building a saw mill called Sutter's Mill. He found a few pieces of gold. Then thousands of people rushed to California for gold.
I played the Strike it Rich game in mom's media section. I liked the game because it was like I was finding gold. I learned that back then it was hard to make money.
